North Sea Jazz Festival 2008, the first day

It is time again to go to the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam. The line-up this year is amazing. It is very hard to choose where to go. Here is an impression of the first day (11th of July).

ZUCO 103 !!! PARTY !!!Â
Even when her dress fell apartÂ
Alain Clark was a big surprise. VERY GOOD !!!Â
It was a bit boring to see a old man there with some old singers. I had hoped for more swingÂ
This is Fink. Nice voice. And don’t use your (semi) professional camera in this venue (Yukon) if you don’t have a press card. It will be noticed !!Â
It was a hard choice to make. Will we go to Angie Stone or Jill Scott. Because we saw Angie recently in Heineken Music Hall we decided to go to Jill. Boy what a voice. She is so good!! A mixture of R&B, Soul, Rock and Jazz. Unfortunaltey we had to leave already after half an hour because we wouldn’t miss BOOTSY !!!!. But we should have stayed here….. :-( Â
This should have been the GRAND FINAL of the evening. I know it was a tribute to James Brown. But did we really need to see all those other unknown artists? And when he decided to do something about the funk he just walked into the audience and we had to shout with hem “Say it loud, we Love James Brown” or something like that.Â

Are you also Flaborgasted?!!

FCUpdate.nl brengt je het laatste voetbal nieuws, uitslagen, foto's, videos, interviews en meer!Yesterday evening I was watching the European Football Competition 2008. It was the game between The Netherlands and Russia. Because The Dutch won there previous games from two big football nations Italy and France and Kroatia ofcourse, we assumed Russia would be no problem. But what happend there? It was awfull. WE LOST !!!!!!!!! So now all of our orange flags, t-shirts,  make-up and other stuff will have no use anymore. I can’t imagine what happend in Basel were 100.000 fans gathered to have a party. Wel who would we support now? Russia has the incredible “Dutch” coach Guus Hiddink so…….приветÑтвиÑ

Angie Stone concert

Last night I went to the concert of Angie Stone which was originally planned on 14th of february.
The last time it was in Paradiso, and I remembered that time the sound was a bit off.
But this time it was in the Heineken Music Hall.

She was very good again. A nice mixture of ballades and some up-tempo songs.
“So happy being me” is one of my favourites at the moment.

Concert Glenn Fredly

Last friday I was at a concert of Glenn Fredly (Deviano Latuihamallo).

It was in het Paard van Troje n The Hague. I never been there before. Sound was okay. He played some of his “Selamat Dunia” album. That is the only one I have. He also sang some of his own favourites. It was a nice concert.
